Nutrition Considerations in The Heat

When the weather gets warmer your body’s main priority is to regulate body temperature to keep it around 37 degrees C

With this knowledge I want you to consider 2 things:

Firstly, sweat

You sweat more in warmer climates to regulate your body temperature, which means you will lose more salt 

Secondly, appetite

Your appetite may reduce in the heat for the simple reason that your body is prioritising other systems to regulate its body temperature
 
Which as a result means there is less energy and focus on the digestive system and hormones controlling it

  1. Drink lots of water
  2. Replenish the salt lost by adding in a pinch of table salt to one of your meals
  3. Celebrate your reduced appetite knowing it’s perfectly natural 

I also feel as a British female in her (late- ouch) 20’s I should say
